Fishing at Mountain Laurel Lake

Mountain Laurel Lake is a privately owned and stocked lake. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish including, bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, and catfish. Fishing can be done directly off of the deck of each cabin excluding the Mini Farm. The Mini Farm, however, does have its own dock on the lake. Each cabin comes with a trolling motor boat, perfect for accessing secluded areas of the lake to fish. There is no fishing license required.

Wildlife Found at Mountain Laurel Lake

A variety of wildlife can be seen at Mountain Laurel Lake. Some of the wildlife seen include, White-tailed deer, squirrels, a wide array of birds, and beautiful wildflowers. Below are just a few of the native flora and fauna found around the woods and lake.

Swamp Milkweed is one of two varieties of milkweed found at Mountain Laurel Lake. Milkweed plays host to the Monarch Butterfly during the summer.

White-tailed deer can be seen while you are out on the hiking trails at Mountain Laurel Lake.

The Indigo Bunting can been seen as well as heard around the lake during the spring and summer months. There are also a variety of birds seen year-round including the beautiful Northern Cardinal.
